PLAY & CONNECTION
Mat Munchkins
Preschoolers begin with playful games, simple movement, and getting comfortable with close-contact activities. A parent or guardian joins their child on the mat.

GRACIE BULLYPROOF® · KIDS AGES 3–12
Learning how to respond to bullying takes more than a physical technique. Gracie Bullyproof brings together verbal assertiveness, defensive control, and clear rules about when to use those skills.

THREE STARTING POINTS
PLAY & CONNECTION
Preschoolers begin with playful games, simple movement, and getting comfortable with close-contact activities. A parent or guardian joins their child on the mat.
LEARN THROUGH GAMES
Ten core Gracie Games introduce leverage and control through play. Children practice listening, cooperation, and basic self-defense while building readiness for the next stage.
SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITY
The curriculum develops 33 non-violent defensive techniques alongside verbal assertiveness. Students learn to control a situation and negotiate, with increasing emphasis on judgment.
These are our Centerton age groups. Age five overlaps; your instructor will help choose a starting point based on readiness and experience.
CONFIDENCE HAS A VOICE
Children rehearse how to recognize bullying, respond assertively, and seek help. Physical skills come with responsibility.
Role-playing helps children distinguish joking from harmful behavior and practice a clear voice, direct eye contact, and confident posture.
Five Rules of Engagement reinforce avoiding fights, getting help, responding to physical attacks, and using proportionate force. Children learn when techniques are appropriate.
Rather than teaching children to punch or kick, Bullyproof emphasizes leverage-based defensive control. The goal is to respond without becoming the aggressor.

BEYOND THE MAT
Positive reinforcement helps children build on what they do well. The Gracie character program connects training to responsibility, health, respect, citizenship, manners, and caring.
Our school’s Gracie Game Day gives children something to work toward through character development outside class. Parents help by noticing those habits at home and reviewing the rules together.
