The experience

Small moments.
Meaningful beginnings.

Mat Munchkins gives your child an early experience of learning in a group while keeping the reassurance of a familiar adult close by. You participate together in age-appropriate activities.

Learn through play

Simple games introduce movement, coordination, and the experience of following a coach’s guidance.

Practice together

Parent participation helps your child explore the mat with support, while giving you a shared activity to enjoy.

Build readiness

Taking turns, listening, and being part of a group create a foundation for future children’s classes.

What to expect

A first class
for both of you.

We’ll help you understand the process before you begin.

  1. Meet the coach together

We’ll explain parent participation and help your child become familiar with the space.

  2. Join the activities

Follow the coach through simple games and movement with your child. Encouragement matters more than getting everything right.

  3. Talk about readiness

At ages where programs overlap, our team can help choose the group that fits your child’s development.

Good questions. Clear answers.

A few things
you might be wondering.

Do I stay on the mat with my child?
